dramaturgistgetting into stray kids again after almost 5 years has only resulted in me being more obsessed with lee know than i ever was before so obviously i need to talk at length about him and his relationships w the members. this isn't all of them just the ones i pay attention to the most.
seungmin: the wealth of material here is just..... what do you even say to a Divorce Concept. who wakes up and is like ah yes my fanservice method of choice is being Divorced. lee minho apparently. anyway. it's so clear that seungmin is very decidedly not one of his favourite members and yet he likes him so much. they're just fundamentally very different people and as much as they both love saying they don't "match well" they probably match the best for each other as far as i can tell. gaymarriage is real.
i think the main reason i am so obsessed with 2min is because of how push-and-pull their relationship is... like when minho messes around with the other members they normally just laugh or brush it off but seungmin can and Will fight back. and minho likes that. they just bicker very naturally and yeah it lends to the divorce 'concept' they have going but it also just makes for fun times all around<3 only for them. not for anyone else. (maybe jeongin but that's a conversation for another day.) tl;dr sometimes all a catboy needs is a dogboy on a leash
jeongin: minho has never acted as annoying around anyone else as he does around jeongin which is fucking hilarious because this kid literally hates him. i swear he daydreams of murdering minho. (with love?) i don't blame him because he's So Insufferable around jeongin it's like a switch is flipped in his head the second he's within five feet of him. i don't know what it is - the fact that he's a maknae that doesn't act like a maknae at all? that he's so fun to mess with? whatever it is i hope he keeps it up because it's highly entertaining. i think their entire dynamic can be summarised by the one clip of minho saying [about jeongin] "i want to corrupt him".
(also, i'm obsessed with the specific minho/seungmin/jeongin triangulation. jeongin hates (= loves) both of them, minho will stop at nothing to make their lives hell, and seungmin is A Dog. my favourite moments are 1) 2min teaming up to tickle jeongin at that one fansign, 2) jeongin saying "i'm going to kill seungmin" and minho going "i hope his final days are miserable", and 3) seungmin saying "when jeongin sees minho in a bad mood he avoids him so they don't fight... meanwhile i go bother minho".)
jisung: IT IS SO CRAZY TO ME THAT MINSUNG IS STILL A THING. when the most popular ship in a fandom is actually shippable???? i had the most insane minsung phase back in 2018 and it's so clear that the two of them have only gotten much closer since then. jisung probably knows minho the best out of all of them and minho naturally knows jisung extremely well too. their dynamic is so easy and fun it's impossible not to like them ^^ also i'm forever haunted by [378938 clips of jisung calling minho jagiya like it's second nature]. especially the one on vlive. guys why are you like this Guys You Are Idols
hyunjin: ngl the main reason why i like minho/hyunjin is because i think the image of their respective best friends (jisung and seungmin) absolutely Hating their choice of partner is hilarious. the "i love u and i respect u but why did it have to be HIM????" of it all. outside of that these two are just So Funny around each other because minho is Going to kill hyunjin. but they're also close & do things like hang out late at night and go one walks/stargaze together? the math is not mathing? hyunjin is likely marked down as scared & horny most of the time and who can blame him. it's lee minho. everyone wants to fuck lee minho. i completely lost the plot of what i was trying to say here my point is hyunho good
i like minho normal amounts. his dynamics with the others are also fun but these are my absolute favourites rn. (with 2min at the top. if it wasn't obvious.) honestly i think you could put minho with any combination of members and i would love it <333 normal amounts. haha.
